In a major step toward advancing agricultural development and economic transformation in Nigeria, WiiFarm Cooperative Society has paid a high-level courtesy visit to the Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning.

The delegation, led by Mrs. AniebietAbasi Prosper and Barr. Edidiong Udoh, Legal Officer of The Factory Company, presented WiiFarm’s bold vision: a 10,000-hectare fractional farmland master plan. The presentation was made to the state’s economic development team as part of efforts to drive collaboration, unlock rural development, and position Akwa Ibom as a key player in Nigeria’s agro-industrial revolution.

“This initiative is more than just a farming project—it’s a blueprint for wealth creation, food security, and inclusive economic growth,” said Mrs. Prosper during the meeting.

Transforming Agriculture Through Innovation

WiiFarm Cooperative Society is a registered agricultural cooperative committed to transforming agriculture into a profitable and accessible venture for everyday Nigerians. Through a fractional farmland ownership model, the cooperative allows individuals to co-own and earn from large-scale, mechanized farms, while participating in value-driven agricultural projects.

Founded on principles of collective wealth creation and rural empowerment, WiiFarm’s model offers a unique opportunity for Nigerians to invest in agriculture, generate passive income, and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s food production agenda.

One of its flagship programs, the Paddy Aggregation Program (PAP), has already yielded impressive results—delivering average returns of 24% annually for members. This success demonstrates the viability and profitability of community-powered agriculture when paired with innovation and sound management.

Feeding the Nation, One Farm at a Time

In addition to the farmland initiative, WiiFarm has also launched the Uyo Food Service Hub, which distributes NaijaSweetRice, the cooperative’s premium-grade parboiled rice brand, across Akwa Ibom State. The planned WiiFarm Multipurpose Farm Estate, spanning 10,000 hectares, will further scale up production of:

  • Rice

  • Maize

  • Beef

  • Poultry

  • Fish

These developments aim to establish Akwa Ibom as a regional hub for agro-industrial growth, while simultaneously promoting food self-sufficiency and rural industrialization.

“We are excited about the opportunities this engagement may unlock,” the WiiFarm leadership noted. “Our mission is clear: to revive agriculture, empower rural communities, and return prosperity to the land and its people.”

Looking Ahead

The partnership between WiiFarm and the Akwa Ibom State Government could serve as a model for other states looking to harness agriculture as a tool for economic revitalization. With rising global concerns around food insecurity, initiatives like these are essential for national development.
